AI Rescue

A stuck AI build: the agent fails in production, answers hallucinate, retrieval misses, costs climb. In 1–2 weeks I get into your code, find the cause and unblock it — with before/after metrics.

Who it’s for: For teams that already built something and hit a wall: the problem has a name, weeks are burned, progress has stopped.

Not for greenfield builds — that’s where the Sprint starts. Not staff augmentation either: I come in, unblock, hand over and leave.

Month three on the same bug.

It worked in the demo and fails in production. The team has tried prompts, model swaps and a retrieval rebuild — every attempt eats another sprint, and it gets harder to say whether the problem is solvable at all. Most “unsolvable” AI problems are unmeasured ones: the rescue starts with measurement and ends with a fix and its numbers.

( 02 )

What you get

  • The failure reproduced, with an evaluation set built from your real cases
  • Root-cause diagnosis: model, data, architecture or missing measurement
  • Fixes implemented together with your team, in your repository
  • Before/after metrics on the same evaluation set
  • Written rules so this class of problem doesn’t come back
  • A recommendation: scale, rebuild or kill
( 03 )

How it runs

01Days 1–3Diagnosis: reproduce the problem, build the measurement, form hypotheses, quote the rest.
02Days 4–8Rescue: fixes with your team — data, prompts, architecture, model choice, costs.
03Days 9–10Handover: before/after results, written rules and the next step.

What you need on your side

The rescue works if you have:

access to code, logs and failure examples from day one
one engineer from your team paired for the whole rescue — the knowledge stays with you
the problem described well enough to reproduce
readiness for an honest answer if it can’t be solved within this budget

Pricing

from €3,500 net

  • quoted after the diagnosis (days 1–3) — then a fixed price for a fixed scope
  • capped at 1–2 weeks — I don’t move in for months
  • if the diagnosis shows the problem can’t be solved on a reasonable budget, I say so and we stop at the diagnosis

As of: August 2026

Run your own numbers.

A stuck team has a monthly cost: time spent going in circles. Price the standstill, then compare it with the price of the rescue.

An estimate built on the numbers you enter — not a promise. The final price lands after the diagnosis (days 1–3), and the result is measured before and after regardless.

Before you book a call.

How can you price this before you know what’s broken?

From €3,500 net. The first three days are the diagnosis; after it you get a fixed price for a fixed scope of the fix. If I see the problem can’t be solved on a reasonable budget, I say so and we stop at the diagnosis.

Do you work inside our codebase?

Yes, from day one — with access to the repository, logs and examples of the failures. I work in a pair with one engineer from your team, so the knowledge of the cause and the fix stays with you instead of leaving with me.

What kinds of problems do you fix most often?

The agent fails in production, answers hallucinate, retrieval misses the right documents, costs grow faster than traffic. The cause usually sits in the data, the architecture or the missing measurement, not in the model itself.

How do we know things are actually better afterwards?

From an evaluation set built out of your real cases. I measure on it before and after, so the improvement is a number rather than an impression. You also keep written rules so this class of problem doesn’t come back.

Do you stay with us afterwards?

No. The rescue is capped at 1–2 weeks: I come in, unblock, hand over and leave. If the root cause turns out to be how the team works, the natural next step is AI Development Acceleration.

What’s next

Your team keeps the working fix, the metrics and the written rules. The natural next step is an Agentic Workflow Sprint that finishes the process; if the standstill came from how the team works — AI Development Acceleration.
